Barack Wants to Maintain Power - Blow Iran to smithereens - That ought to do it

Hopefully the Curmudgeon is wrong, but he feels that the ratcheting up of  "attack Iran" rhetoric that is coming out of the Obama Administration is designed to keep him in office.  Now the US military is designing a bigger, meaner, bunker buster bomb.  They are also building a floating platform out of decommissioned ships so a contingent of Navy Seals can float off the Strait of Hormuz waiting to "let 'er rip" on BHO's command.

During his State of the Union address, US Navy Seals were sent in to rescue one US woman and some Danish guy from pirates in Somalia.   Remember how badly Somalia turned out when Bill Clinton was trying to play warrior?  How come we didn't send in the Seals to save the three American idiots who were stuck in prison, two  of them for over year in Iran?  How come we could enter Somalia and Pakistan playing shoot-em-up (don't get the Curmudgeon wrong - he doesn't mind when our guys go in and kick bad-guy butt) but we couldn't charge into Iran - then?  Why is it becoming more acceptable now with the spin coming from the Whitehouse?  Remember George Bush, and Bill Clinton, and John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton, and Ted Kennedy, and THE whole slew of others who declared that Iraq needed to be invaded for their WMD?  Then when Bush finally did something, all the other Democrats developed amnesia.  The liberals screamed in protest!  When the WMD that Clinton said was definitely there didn't materialize, it was completely Bush's war and folly.

Where are the liberals now?  Obama has been shooting up Pakistan more than any other president and we're not even at war with them.  Now, we're talking about making a 10 ton bunker buster bomb to fire at Iran.  Why is potentially putting the US at even greater risk OK with liberals?  Because Obama is at the trigger, this is now an OK war.  How come nobody is declaring Obama attacks in sovereign countries to be illegal and unapproved by Congress?

Also, with the billions Obama has dumped on green energy initiatives, why do we care if they shut off the Strait of Hormuz?  Where is all that reliable, affordable, job-creating GREEN energy Obama has lined up for us?  Oh, yeah.  A large bunch of them have gone bankrupt after getting big government loan guarantees and grants. They get to keep the money and we get to pay the bill.  Now, Solyndra is just chucking perfectly and useable materials instead of selling them off to pay back the loans that they defaulted on.   This has happened under Obama's guidance.  How many poor, starving, uneducated street people could have used this money?  How many homeless shelters could have been built?  How many more methadone clinics, Planned Parenthood centers, and schools could have poured this money down the drain instead of Obama cronies kicking back the bankrupt funds into his campaign coffers under the liberal radar?  Liberal radar starts at about 20,000 feet so flying under it is pretty easy.
