Romney releases Taxes - Whooppee!!!!

These things we know:

About some Rich Guys:
  • Romney has done well for himself
  • Romney is not a slacker
  • He obviously knows how to work effectively
  • He turned around the Olympics when nobody else could
  • He is an investment banker not a venture capitalist
  • He paid $3,000,0000 in taxes.  More than the City of Ely's entire yearly budget.

About many Non-Rich Guys:
  • Many like beer and cigarettes more than workng
  • Many like lots of time off
  • Many feel sorry about themselves
  • Several are in trouble with the law
  • A bunch don't even work but take food stamps
  • Many spend their savings on toys and junk
  • Many didn't save even when they had ample funds
  • Many pay a couple thousand per year in taxes
  • Many did not go to school or even pay attention while there
  • Many like to party and do stupid crap like watch WWF
  • Many like to worry about rich guys because of their own shortcomings
  • Many are susceptible to the Democrats who review and exploit this list regularly for political gain.

Summary - Romney paid 14% in tax.  Our slackers and average grunts pay higher taxes but tiny relative volumes.  Romney's contribution to the US budget is $3 Million for just one year.  Most of the other guys will never hit a million dollars in taxes paid in their entire lifetime.  The "have-nots" should really strive to be a "have" instead and not by selling recreational drugs and stolen car parts.  Our president should be encouraging and attitude change, not the attacking of rich guys.  As a country, we would be an immensely wealthy if our average populace was encouraged and pushed to try to be something more than just ordinary under-achievers.  Democrats promote poverty. You never see a poor man give anybody a job.

  1. It's worth noting that the "average effective tax rate" for individuals in the US is around 13 percent (for people who actually pay income tax), according to what I heard a tax accountant say today on Fox News. So Romney is paying more than the average.

People are fond of quoting their marginal tax rate, which really has little to do with their actual overall tax rate (taxes paid divided by total income times 100 percent). No, not taxable income, but ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME. Yeah some people pay a marginal rate of 28 percent, but that's only on part of their income.

According to calculations provided by Turbo Tax, the national average adjusted gross income for 2010 was $132,010. Average taxable income was $96,325. Average taxes were $17,523.

So the national average tax rate, based on adjusted gross income was 13.2 percent.

For me, my actual tax rate based on what I paid versus my adjusted gross income, was 8.2 per cent in 2010.

So anybody who is claiming their total tax rate is 28 percent, when that's just their marginal tax bracket has actually ever done their own taxes.

Taxable income of $40,000 shows a tax of $5154 according to the IRS tax tables. That's 12.8 percent. But if any of that is dividends or capital gains, that tax amount would be lower

Never mind that 40 percent of people in this country don't pay any tax.

Liberals apparently aren't good with numbers.
